The Stamps Building is a wonderful Historic Building located five minutes west of Downtown Dallas. This building has a rich history. It was the home of the Internationally recognized Stamps Music Company, Stamps Music School, and Stamps Brothers Quartet. This building has received distinction as the “Birthplace of Southern Gospel Music.” (See Appendix A)
The building fell into disrepair during the 1960’s and 1970’s. It was purchased in 1992 and has undergone a complete renovation. The building is located within an historic district that is undergoing a complete resurgence.
